The blog was started to get bogged down with gadgets and widgets and fidgets and fadgets plus fatgits, wotsits and tootsi-toos. It made loading time for me to post anything near impossible, so I dare not imagine how bad it was for you!
I went into the edit function (when it let me at last) and removed lots of the above. Should be a smoother experience now.
